Team News: Lots going on for the New Financial Year!

The end of the tax-year is now one week away, so that only means one thing for anyone in the financial industry… carnage. But of course, here at Vizion we are most definitely keeping things calm and collected 😉

Exciting news on the investment side of things, Vizion Wealth now have a Discretionary license! Therefore, in the next coming months we will be rolling out our new discretionary management service so watch this space.

Corinne attended the Intelliflo Regional Meeting in Cambridge, and received recognition for her work on our client back office system which included a 100% score in the areas of client data, income reconciliation and valuations – the best in the country. This was the first time anyone had received a 100% score, so this was very good news for everyone at Vizion – well done again Corinne, you smashed it!

James had a good week off on the ski slopes in Les Arc with a group of friends. At the end of the holiday, one of the boys unscrewed the end of his ski pole to reveal his emergency spirit stash, who knew it was possible to make ski pole into a hip-flask?!

James is also participating in the Cycle 4 Good (https://www.cycle4good.com) charity cycle ride in May which is from London to Paris. His dad, Chris, is leading the ride and James will be a member of the support team. We look forward to hearing about its successes and seeing some photos at the end of May!

Mel also had a week on the slopes in Morzine with the family. They had fantastic weather and also the best ski instructor, and the views from the apartment looked phenomenal… we now just need to convince Andrew it’ll be worth setting up office somewhere in the mountains; good for team morale, right?!

For me, my revision paid off as I passed my R04 Pensions & Retirement Planning exam! Just in time for a trip to Peru with my best friend. We’ll be trekking up the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu, and then heading down for trek through Amazon rainforest (which I am dreading slightly because of the horror stories I’ve heard involving tarantulas).

Now we are in Spring, and having some lovely rays of sunshine, I’m sure you will all have a wonderful Easter break.

Best wishes, Jess
