August Team News: Summer Lovin’

The summer is in full swing with beautiful rays of sunshine (as well as unexpected streaks of heavy rain?!). The team at Vizion Wealth are making the most of our summer days and have had a fun-filled few months, as well as working hard in the office of course!

The partners decided to treat the team to day out at Edgbaston Cricket Ground watching the England vs. Pakistan match – we were extremely lucky with the weather and England’s performance was spectacular. After a terrible start, we came back strong and ending up winning the match which meant lots of cheering from the Vizion Wealth ‘gangsters’ (yes, this was fancy dress and not our usual attire!)

Our Investment Analyst, Sam, was unable to make the cricket due to being a victim of the pingdemic; however, he has been hard at work renovating the garden in his new home which involved breaking concrete, shifting 85 bags of soil and putting down paving slabs. The sense of accomplishment once the project has been completed will be satisfying, I’m sure. Pictures to come on the next blog!

Terry took his children to North Wales for a holiday, introduced his daughter to quad biking and they spent hours racing around the fields. He also managed to catch up with his sister and surrogate dad after 18 long months. A well-deserved break indeed.

Andrew enjoyed a family holiday in Mother Ivey Bay, Cornwall. They camped on a stunning local beach, took Hendrix for plenty of dog walks on the coast and tried some body boarding in the English waters. I heard the Cornish ice cream was also a delight!

I was fortunate enough to time my annual leave with the updating of the green list, which meant that Terrence and I were able to book some last-minute flights to Madeira. We hired a car and drove around the island, tried some local cuisine and swam in the sea every evening, it was really wonderful.

James went on a break with Georgie and some of their friends to their holiday home in Nefyn. They celebrated Georgie’s birthday, their best friends’ engagement and enjoyed some fishing and cliff walks (as well as some serious Karaoke). They even caught a few lobsters which was a surprise addition for their beach BBQ.

Corinne is off to Spain this weekend to meet her friends and Geraint is currently seeing family in Wales. We hope you have all been keeping safe and well, and enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
