August Team News

As we try to get back to a level of normality, the staff at Vizion Wealth have been trying to make the most of the post-lock down summer, whilst also adhering to the government safety guidelines in and out of the working environment.

Firstly, we would like to offer our congratulations to Vizion Wealth partner, James & his partner Georgie who got engaged during July! They have both been working extremely hard during the pandemic, and Georgie being in the orthodontic field in London has been working some long hours, so I’m sure it was a lovely surprise that when they took a trip to see Georgie’s family in in Manchester, James popped the question 😊

Melanie had her birthday last week, and her family treated her to a Caravan! So of course, Mel and the family have planned some adventures around the UK, with the first stop in Thetford forest. They completed a tree-top action experience and their dog, Alfie, has been enjoying his first holiday in the Norfolk and Suffolk region.

Andrew had a family holiday to Cornwall, and Hendrix was in his element running free on the beach and appreciating a dip in the sea. Sophie his 13-year-old daughter, dug the most remarkable hole in the sand, through sheer hard work and determination. The end result was impressive, but alas, the tide came in and covered the void. Hopefully, nobody decided to take an evening stroll on the shoreline!

Sam had spent the time during lockdown studying hard for the Discretionary Investment Management exam (J10). He took the exam last week and passed, and everybody is thrilled for him. This qualification further adds to Sam’s already impressive range of financial and investment planning qualifications and will assist Sam in his duties as part of the Vizion Wealth Investment Committee.

Corinne took a trip to Turkey, this time broadening her knowledge and experiences of Izmir, learning about the culture and history of this underrated city. She also travelled down to the coast to Bodrum and Oludeniz for the first time, and I heard lots of good things about the seafood and restaurants. What a perfect way to enjoy the warm weather!

Terry spent a weekend in Liverpool with his friends, and they treated themselves to a luxury dining experience at the Chy restaurant which is located in the north part of the city and is owned by Terry’s cousin and his wife, Mark and Bev. Terry’s personal favourite dishes are the salt and pepper prawns and the amazingly tasty Shu Mi.

I met my oldest friend, Jaymisha, in Wye Valley for a hike and a spot of wild swimming. The water was so fresh and clean, it felt very therapeutic to be at one with nature in the cool currents of the river. It was much needed after a long and tiring hike in the valleys!

While we’ve all managed to benefit from some well-earned breaks after the initial wave of the Covid crisis, we’ve all been ultra-careful to maintain social distancing protocols to protect families, friends and of course staff at Vizion Wealth.  I hope everyone has kept safe and well, and I look forward to giving you some more staff updates in September next month. Oh, how this most difficult and challenging year is flying by!

Love Jess x
