August Team News

Hello and a very warm welcome to the Vizion Wealth summer Team News.  We hope you have all been enjoying the sunny weather we have been experiencing and maybe managed to get away for some nice holidays.  Hopefully you have all recovered from the World Cup……………!

We have some good news within our Team, Joseph Harris is back – you may remember he left us to travel to Canada, well he returned last year and he has recently returned to Vizion Wealth, taking up a new role as Trainee Paraplanner.

Joe is currently studying for his CII Diploma in Financial Planning so we hope to have more news on that soon.

We are delighted to have Joe back in the team and happy to support him in his future career goals.

So, what have we been up to?

Samantha Garrett, our review co-ordinator has recently passed her Financial Services Administrator Apprenticeship – Sam has been working on this for over a year and we are all delighted that it is now completed – well done Sam.

Tean had the pleasure of attending the Wimbledon tennis tournament during the second week, he had a great day watching the matches, soaking up the atmosphere and of course, enjoying the strawberries and Pimms.

Sam Williams recently competed at the national barbershop competition in Harrogate with both quartet (Vanguard) and chorus (The Royal Harmonics), who placed 9th and 3rd respectively. Quartet sang recently with Ascot Brass Band in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance (image below with Sam on the right).

Tara had a week away in Crete and enjoyed a chilled week in the sun with her husband and friends and enjoyed the most amazing sunsets, best viewed with a cocktail of course;

Andrew has had a busy late spring and summer helping with the Ring of Fire fundraising activities. First of all, he abseiled down the National Lift Tower in Northampton, then rode over 300 miles around Northern France and Belgium, with the group of over 50 cyclists stopping along the way to lay a wreath at the Menin Gate, and then finally competed for the Ring of Fire Dragon Boat racing team at Willen Lake, but that didn’t end to well with all of the team capsizing their boat during the races. The fund raising has proved successful with Andrew raising just under £2,000 for Willen Hospice, MND, Cardiac Risk in the Young and Milton Keynes Rugby Club, so he’d like to say a big thank you to all clients, friends and family that made a donation to such a fantastic cause. In total the group has raised close to £100,000 this summer and over £950,000 over ten years. Andrew is now off for some rest with two weeks in Sri Lanka visiting the sites and safari parks, so I’m sure you will hear all about that in the near future.

It is time for our next staff spotlight – it’s Tara!

Enjoy the rest of the summer, and as always, if there is anything we can help you with here at Vizion Wealth please do reach out to us.
