January Team News

Hello and a very warm welcome to the Vizion Wealth Team News.  We hope you all enjoyed the festive season and have had a good start to 2026.

We start the year with some exciting team news. First of all, we were very sad to say goodbye to Hannah, our incredible young paraplanner who left us just before Christmas after deciding to emigrate to Australia with her Australian partner. She is now enjoying the sunshine and beaches of the Gold Coast and we wish her all the best for the future. We’re sure she’ll miss our lovely British winters and weather.

However, as we say goodbye to Hannah, we welcome a new joiner, Alex. Alex joined us in early December and brings with her 8 years of financial advisory experience from local IFA firms.  Alex is in the final stages of completing her CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and will be supporting Andrew as his direct paraplanning support. Some of you may have already met Alex at your review meetings.

Alex has fitted really well into our team.  In her spare time, Alex enjoys playing table tennis, badminton and going to the cinema, she also enjoys regular catch up and nights out with her friends.

We are also happy to share that our review meeting coordinator Samantha has recently passed her CII R01 exam – Financial Services, Regulation and Ethics. This is the start of her CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning journey, and we are all very proud of her achievement. We look forward to seeing her industry knowledge flourish in the future.

Samantha has also returned to her Irish dancing classes after a period away, so we look forward to seeing her compete again in 2026.

It seems like ages ago now, but for the Vizion Wealth Christmas party we ventured up to Chester, what a lovely City it is. This helped us get into the festive spirit with their Christmas Market and Lights. We would definitely recommend for any clients considering a pre-Christmas overnight stay in the future.

Our first stop was an escape room, we split into two teams, with quiz and escape room wizard Sam Williams leading his team. However, it was Team Andrew, Tean, Tara and Samantha pipping them by 8secs to escape the room before the lock out deadline.

We enjoyed a lovely team meal, with plenty of games and of course some late-night dancing.

The following morning, Andrew took the opportunity to take the team on a condensed historical tour of Chester including a brief history of the Eastgate clock, the City walls and ‘The Rows’, which are covered two tier shopping galleries originating in the 13th century. The team were overjoyed at their newfound knowledge about the history of Chester so early in the morning!

Finally, I thought I would share with you some of the Christmas photos from our extended canine family members of the Vizion Wealth team that always bring joy to our working week.

Our old-timer Poppy (Tean’s dog) enjoying a much-needed rest while all the Christmas festivities go on around her.

This was puppy Rosie’s (Mel’s dog) first Christmas with her favourite Christmas present.

Princess Lola (Tara’s dog) continued to rule the roost at Tara’s house over Christmas.

And for Hendrix who is the Vizion Wealth Head of Security (Andrew’s dog), it was all a bit too much!

It is also time for our next staff spotlight – this time, it’s Sam’s turn!

We are all excited for the year ahead and we have already started thinking about Tax Year End planning, which will come around sooner than expected.

Feel free to reach out to us if there is anything you would like assistance with, but we will be checking in with you over the next few months.

As always, thank you for all your support, we love what we do here at Vizion Wealth, and we get great satisfaction from helping all our clients realise their long-term financial goals. We look forward to working with you during 2026 and beyond.
